The Jewel of the North, Durbanville Golf Club, hosted 48 of the Western Cape’s finest senior golfers on Friday, 8th August 2022.

Perfect conditions made it a scoring paradise for our top seniors.

Brian Mampies (Royal Cape) emerged victorious after a thrilling finish, winning his second Senior Series title this season. With the exception of a double bogey on hole 12, Mampies recorded four birdies on holes 3, 6, 9 and 15.

Greg Woodbridge (Atlantic Beach Links), Jonathan Bernard (Clovelly), and Duane Fisher (Royal Cape) shared second place on a gross score of 70, 2 under par, with a combined total of 14 birdies and one eagle.

It was a solid performance by Dirk van Merwe (Bellville) in the Super Seniors Division as he completed the round with a gross of 72, including birdies on holes 6, 11, 15 and 16.
