Durbanville Team
Our Annual Winter League was held at Strand Golf Club yesterday. With a great turned out this year we had 25 teams competing for the title. The format of this tournament is the best 3 gross scores out of the 4 man team to count.
The start was slow as the weatherman had other ideas, with mist so thick it delayed the starting times for our players. This resulted in the tournament only being played over 18 holes but this didn’t dampen anyone’s mood. We thank all the players for their patience and understanding in this regard.
Durbanville had entered two teams this year. Team 1 consisting of Wesley Du Plessis, Sean Cronje, Travis Procter and Ayden Senger dominated the field winning the 2021 Winter League Title, on a gross of 216, 6 shots ahead of KDM 1 who finished in second place on 222.
