2024 WP AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
WP Golf are pleased to announce that the online entries for the 2024 WP Amateur Championship are now open to the public.
With its rich history, this prestigious event will celebrate its 115th anniversary at the iconic Royal Cape Golf Club.

The Duncan Baxter Cup:
The WP Amateur Championship was first held in 1909.
H. Stewart became the first champion in 1909 and went on to win the Championship a record eight times between then and 1929.
It is noteworthy that the WP Amateur Championship did not take place during World War I, World War II, 1994, 2003, and 2020.

Dowie Dunn Memorial Trophy:
The first Stroke Play event was held in 1960.
RW Glennie became the first champion in 1960 and went on to win it a record four times between 1960 and 1965.
