The annual Town vs Country competition took place at Kuils River Golf Club on 17 February 2025. A total of 24 players from WP Golf and 24 players from Boland competed across three divisions to determine the winner.

In the A Division, WP Golf emerged victorious with a score of 5.5 points to Boland’s 2.5. Sue Filmer and Natasha Murray set the tone early by securing dominant wins, with Filmer finishing 6&5 and Murray winning 7&6.

The B Division was claimed by Boland, who earned 6 out of the 8 points on offer. However, WP Golf’s Carnel Lubbe-Smith and Angelique Meijer kept the team’s hopes alive by winning their respective matches.

The highly competitive C Division proved to be a nail-biter, with Boland and WP Golf tied after the first four matches. However, Theunisia Swart, Renette Rheeder, and Carol Sandmann won the final three matches, giving WP Golf a total of 5 points and securing the trophy.

This tournament showcased exceptional sportsmanship, camaraderie, and the forging of new friendships.
