The annual Town vs Country competition took place at Paarl Golf Club on 26 January 2026. A total of 24 players from WP Golf and 24 players from Boland competed across three divisions to determine the winner.

In the A Division, Boland Golf claimed the trophy with 5 and 3 win, Ashley Huysamen took a 3&2 win as well as Gill Briggs with a 4&3, Kaitlyn Van De Vyver along with Karen Lorio they claimed half a point each.

The B Division was claimed by Boland, who earned 6 out of the 8 points on offer. However, WP Golf’s Nicci Illing and Nancy Dorrat kept the team’s hopes alive by winning their respective matches, unfortunately it was not enough.

The C Division, WP held their heads high claiming 6 points and Boland only managing to 2 points. Unsure of what was to happen with the last two games still having to come in, Tania Abegglen and Karien Van Rooyen managed to both win their games earning the final two points needed to bring the trophy back home.

This tournament is for women to showcase some exceptional sportsmanship, camaraderie, and the forging of new friendships.
