The Milnerton Junior Championship provided a stern test for the Western Province juniors, with the course presented in outstanding condition and rewarding patience and precision throughout the day.

 

James Janssen emerged as the overall champion after carding a superb 3-over-par 75, edging out Joel Neethling and Zach Potgieter by a single stroke after they both finished on 76.

Aminah Hendricks returned to the winners’ circle with an excellent performance to claim the Girls U/19 title on a score of 82.

In the Boys U/15 division, Nico Grove prevailed on count-out after he and Sergio Dowrie both posted rounds of 79.

Erin-Leigh Arnold continued her impressive season by adding another Girls U/15 title to her growing trophy collection with a winning score of 85.

The Boys U/13 division once again belonged to MC Fourie, whose outstanding form shows no signs of slowing down. Fourie fired a brilliant 75 to secure yet another victory, finishing six shots clear of the field and further cementing his status as the player to beat in the division.
