Round 1 – James Boustead set the bar high with an eight-under par round, including five birdies on the final nine holes. Following him were Andries Van Der Vyver with a two under par 70 and Mitch Phigeland with a one under par 71.

Round 2 – Andries Van der Vyver carded a three-under-par 69, to secure the clubhouse lead with an overall score of five under par. The leader, James Boustead, couldn’t hold his lead on the back nine, making three bogeys in his last three holes to finish with five under par. This resulted in a playoff against Andries Van Der Vyver.

In the first play-off hole, both players made pars. On the second playoff hole, both competitors executed flawless drives down the fairway’s right side. James Boustead’s approach left him 13 feet from the flag. Andries Van Der Vyver responded with an impressive shot, setting himself up just three feet away for a birdie putt.

A birdie on the second playoff hole secured Andries Van Der Vyver the 2024 Bellville Open title.

Larenzo Jonathan from Bellville Golf Club won the Men’s Medal Stableford Division.

In the Women’s Section, Jordan Rothman showcased her skill with a three-under-par 69 in the first round, followed by a 68, finishing at seven under par and winning the women’s section by 20 shots.
