BACK-TO-BACK FOR JOSHUA WIESE

The 2025 Erinvale Open kicked off with favorable scoring conditions.
In Round 1, Joshua Wiese (AB Links), Josh Daniels (Somerset West), and Ethan Arlow (Stellenbosch) shared the clubhouse lead with impressive 67’S (-5). However, Jurie Groenewald (Bellville) shot a 68 (-4) one shot behind the leaders. Dan Copeman (Westlake), Aerron Gelderblom, and Henru Walters (Durbanville) all carded 69s (-3).Ten players managed to go under par in Round 1, setting the stage for a thrilling competition.
In Round 2, Henru Walters surged ahead with an exceptional 66 (-6), featuring two eagles, three birdies and one bogey, finishing on 9 under par total to take the club house lead. Josh Daniels maintained composure with a 69 (-3), ending on 8 under par total and currently sitting in solo third.
Joshua Wiese demonstrated remarkable poise, carding another solid 67 (-5) to claim the victory by one shot, finishing on 10 under par.
Women’s Division:
Zayaan Hendricks (AB Links) emerged victorious in the women’s division, posting scores of 79 and 77 to claim the title with a 4-shot margin. Kaitlyn Rix (Durbanville) secured second place with scores of 77 and 83, while Jaden Visagie (KD Mowbray) took third place with scores of 87 and 77.
