Mark Beattie won the 2019 WP Mid-Amateur Championship, beating James Dougan from Royal Cape Golf Club by a single stroke.

Beattie, representing Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club, birdied the last 3 holes, and a costly bogey on the par 3, 17 by Dougan saw the lead change hands for the final time as both players managed to birdie the par 5 18th hole.
