The sixth instalment of the Caddie Series took place at Rondebosch Golf Club under overcast and chilly conditions. The weather did little to dampen the spirits of the 43 determined players, each ready to tackle the challenges presented by RGC.

Benito Robertson from Strand made a strong start, scoring an impressive 23 points on his first nine holes to take an early lead. Hot on his heels was Joseph Siyanga, who demonstrated remarkable consistency with 22 points. Freddie Booysen also made his presence felt with a solid opening score of 20 points.

As the competition heated up, Freddie Booysen and Joseph Siyanga continued to shine, both finishing their rounds with 40 points, putting them in joint clubhouse lead. However, it was Benito Robertson who maintained his momentum, adding 19 points on his closing nine holes to finish with an outstanding total of 42 points.

With this stellar performance, Benito Robertson was crowned the 2024 Rondebosch Caddie Series Champion, edging out his competitors by a narrow margin of two points.

1st place: Benito Robertson – 42 points

2nd place: Joseph Siyanga – 40 points C/I

3rd place: Freddie Booysen – 40 points C/O

4th place: George Norman – 38 points C/I

5th place: Jeff De Villiers – 38 points C/O
