The Royal Cape Junior Championship was held on Wednesday, 25 September 2024. The iconic tree-lined fairways and rich history of the golf club ensured an exciting tournament.

Brett van Rooyen and Bjorn Nord both finished on 76. Bjorn, after a struggling front nine of 40, fought back brilliantly with a level par second nine. Brett on the other hand started his round with a front nine of 37, including 2 birdies and 3 bogeys. Brett bogeyed 3 of the last 5 holes to finish the back nine in 39. Play-off at the 18th hole ensued between Van Rooyen and Nord. Van Rooyen secured his first junior title by defeating Nord on the opening play-off hole.

Nico Grove is a newcomer to the U/15 division, and one to keep an eye on. He came out in 5 over par 41, including a double bogey on hole 3 and a triple bogey on hole 9. Nico kept his composure and fought back with an outstanding level par back nine. He won the U/15 division by one shot over Noah Lamb with a 77.
