The first event of the season took place at Strand Golf Club, despite challenging conditions marked by wind, rain, and wet terrain.

Wilson Kaingwe (Rondebosch) initially led after the front nine with a 1-over-par 37. Brian Daniels (Strand) and Paul Louw (Steenberg) trailed closely, both carding 2-over-par 38 for the first nine holes. However, Daniels leveraged his home course advantage to surge ahead, posting a 3-under-par 33 on the back nine. This impressive performance secured him a 1-under-par 71 and the series win by a single shot.

Daniels’ victory marked a strong start to the 2025 Caddie Series A division.

In the B division, Melvin Adams (Strand) took the early lead after the first 9 holes, scoring 20 points. However, he was closely followed by Dennis Adonis (Strand), Cecil Mcani (Milnerton), and Bob Kaingwe (Rondebosch), who were also on 20 points.

In the final stretch, Bob Kaingwe (Rondebosch) showcased impressive skill, carding four 3-pointers in his last six holes to finish with 42 points for the day. This strong performance earned him the title, winning by a 2-point margin.
