CLOVELLY CONQUERED: BRIAN DANIELS TAKES THE CROWN

The 2025 Clovelly Caddy Series got off to a chilly start on a cold morning, but the golfers were fired up and ready to take on the challenging course.
The first nine holes saw a thrilling battle for the clubhouse lead, with Brian Daniels (Strand) and Daniel Joseph (Clovelly) emerging as early frontrunners. Both golfers carded an impressive 1 under par 35, sharing the top spot and setting the tone for a competitive day. Paul Louw (Steenberg) was hot on their heels, carding a respectable 38 and keeping himself in contention for a podium finish.
The stage was set for a thrilling second nine holes, and Brian Daniels did not disappoint. He maintained his consistency, carding another 35 and finishing with a total score of 2 under par 70 to take the title. Daniel Joseph put up a valiant effort but ultimately finished second with a total score of 74. Paul Louw rounded out the podium, finishing third with a total score of 77.
The Stableford Division – Vincent Mankahla (Rondebosch) gunning for his second consecutive title. The first nine holes saw Vincent take the clubhouse lead with an impressive 22 points, closely followed by Rashaad Basson (Strand) on 22 points and Tony Simons ( KD Mowbray) on 19 points.
However, Benito Robertson staged a remarkable comeback in the second nine holes, carding 21 points to take the clubhouse lead with a total of 34 points. But Vincent Mankahla was not to be underestimated, as he maintained his consistency, carding another 20 points to finish with a total of 42 points and claim the title. Divan Scholtz (Strand) put up a strong fight, carding two consistent nine holes of 18 points each to finish second with a total of 36 points. Rashaad Basson finished third with 36 points but was ultimately counted out.
