Clovelly to host Women's Ackerman Championships

Defending champion, and current SA Mid-Amateur Champion Vicki Traut will tee up in a record field of 92 players at the prestigious Ackerman Championships at Clovelly Country Club on Saturday & Sunday, 17-18 October 2020.

The Ackerman Championships has been proudly supported by Pick n Pay, and the Ackerman family for a record 40 years and has become a ‘must play’ tournament on the women’s national amateur golf circuit.

Included in the field are four previous champions, Vicki Traut, Jordan Rothman (2018), Kaylah Williams (2016) and Danielle du Toit (2015).

Also competing is Gauteng’s Kaiyuree Moodley who knows how to win on the Clovelly course. She lifted the 2019 WP Amatuer Stroke Play title on this course. She will be keen to test her skills again after taking a break for her matric last year.

After been starved from competitive golf due to Lockdown, all players are eager to pick up WGSA national, and World Amateur ranking points at this event.
