Friday 14th January – A sweltering hot day did not discourage the 55 players that participated in the Par 3 Challenge at the beautiful Hazendal Golf Course situated in the Hazendal Wine Estate.

The course offers panoramic winelands views. This 18 hole Par 3 course offers a challenging yet entertaining round of golf with large undulating bent grass greens which are in championship condition.

The overall winner on the day was Craig Jacobs (Atlantic Beach Links) who completed the 18 hole course in 2 under par – 4 birdies and 2 drop shots. The most birdies (birdie 2s) during their round was recorded by Adam Johnston with a total of 6 (six)

The Boys U15 division was decided on a play-off with Francois Steyn (Durbanville) edging out Andries van der Vyver (Strand) – both players had 3 birdies and 2 drops during regulation play.
