This year’s WP High School Regional Qualifiers were held at the Metropolitan Golf Club on Sunday, 5 May 2024.

14 teams made up of four players entered to compete for a spot in the National Final.

Players were challenged in all aspects of their game by the cold autumn ocean breeze sweeping off of the Atlantic Ocean.

The winning team showed off an impressive golf performance. The Durbanville High School team consisted of Jano Stone and Braam Smit, who both posted rounds of 74 (+4); Quewin Botha and Henru Walters, whose rounds of 71 (-1) secured a seven-shot victory. The team was led to victory by manager Freddie Brooks.

The TGSE Cape Town team placed second in the competition and advanced to the National Finals as well. The team comprises Philco Venter who posted a 78, Jake Tarlie a round of 77, Jadon Galant 74 and Junkai Zhu 72.
