The Milnerton Junior Championship was played in challenging conditions, with cold, wet weather making scoring extremely difficult throughout the day. Despite the tough environment, the young competitors displayed impressive resilience and skill.

In the main championship division, Jaydon Galant emerged victorious after a dramatic playoff against Nicholas Thompson. Both players carded rounds of 75 (+3), forcing a sudden-death playoff. Galant held his nerve and claimed the title on the first playoff hole.

In the U15 division, Luke Jacobs produced a standout performance with a round of 74, finishing three shots clear of Joel Neethling. Jacobs handled the difficult weather with maturity beyond his years.

The U13 division saw Alwyn Rossouw take top honours with a score of 77, finishing two shots ahead of Louw Schoeman in a closely contested battle.

Despite the harsh conditions, the event showcased the depth of talent among the region’s junior golfers and highlighted their determination in the face of adversity.
