The 2026 King David Mowbray Open was played under beautiful sunny skies, with a chilly breeze providing an added challenge for the field. King David Mowbray Golf Club was in excellent condition, with several tricky pin placements testing the players’ accuracy and course management throughout the two rounds.

In the Men’s Division, Pietie Loubser (Westlake) continued his impressive form at King David Mowbray, successfully defending the title he claimed in 2025. Loubser showed remarkable composure throughout the day, producing two outstanding rounds of 69 and 69 to finish on 6-under-par 138 and claim a commanding six-shot victory. Cole Cruickshank (Royal Cape) secured a well-deserved solo second place after finishing on 144, while Joshua Wiese (Atlantic Beach Links) took third place on 147, following rounds of 68 and 79.

There was a closely contested battle for fourth place, with Nicholas Schrieder (Westlake) being counted ahead of Taahir Mallick (Rondebosch). Both players finished on 148, with Schrieder carding two consistent rounds of 74 and 74, while Mallick finished with rounds of 73 and 75.

The Women’s Division saw Kaitlyn van de Vyver (Royal Cape) maintain her composure throughout both rounds to secure a well-earned victory. Van de Vyver produced two solid rounds in the seventies, 75 and 78, to finish on 153 and take the title. Odette Booysen (Westlake) finished in second place on 156, while Chloé Utterson (Steenberg) rounded out the podium in third place with a total of 162.
