Newly promoted, Strand opened their Premier League account on Sunday with two wins, and maximum points.

Whilst they were clearly too strong against Royal Cape 8/1; the Bellville team were not a push-over, but they managed to beat them 6/3.

Strand’s Stefan Blommaert, carded the biggest single wins of the day – 7/5 against Bellville and 8/6 against Royal Cape.

Milnerton B outplayed their A team 5.5/3.5 and recorded the same score against Rondebosch, who also lost to Milnerton A 5/4.

Defending champions, Westlake also took maximum points downing Durbanville 5/4 and Clovelly 5.5/3.5.

There was a convincing win in the Premier Reserve league for King David Mowbray. They trounced Atlantic Beach 8/1.
