• Close Contenders: Bob Kaingwe (Rondebosch) was hot on their heels, trailing by just one point after the front nine. He delivered a stellar performance on the back nine, amassing 22 points to take the early clubhouse lead with a total of 42 points.
• Decisive Finish: Not to be outdone, Basson demonstrated his prowess by carding an exceptional 23 points on the back nine, culminating in a remarkable total of 44 points and securing yet another victory.
