The 2025 WP Senior Masters took place at the picturesque King David Mowbray Golf Club, where a talented field of senior golfers gathered to vie for the coveted title. The tournament got underway under idyllic weather conditions, with clear skies and a gentle breeze setting the stage for an exciting contest.

Round one – Riaan Lewis (KD Mowbray) made a scorching start carding seven birdies, two bogeys and nine pars to finish 5-under par (67) to seize the clubhouse lead. However, Herman September (KD Mowbray) carded a 4-under par (68) to finish one shot behind the lead, Cameron Johnston & Craig Poulton (KD Mowbray), Weyers Janse van Rensburg), Greg Woodbridge & Tony Louw (AB Links) and Deon Brown (Somerset West) all shot 3-under par (69) to remain in contention.

Round two – The morning start saw the players navigate the challenging wind, with Lewis facing the toughest task of all – protecting his overnight lead as the rest of the field chased his heels, and remarkably, only four players managed to break par on the day, highlighting the dramatic change in conditions from round one and the formidable challenges that tested the players.

At the end Riaan Lewis demonstrated remarkable composure and poise as he carded back-to-back birdies on 17 & 18 to end the round on 2-under (70) to finish the tournament on 7-under 137. This outstanding performance earned him a convincing 5-shot victory, as he lifted the 2025 Western Province Senior Masters trophy.

In the Super Senior Section, Craig Poulton (KD Mowbray) Won with rounds of 69 and 75.
