It is with profound sadness that we learned of Rina Lifman’s peaceful passing on Saturday, 14 January 2023.

The WP Golf Executive extends their heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy to her daughters Enid and Jill and son Marc and their families.

Rina was dedicated to the growth of golf, especially women’s golf. To this end she devoted much time and effort, serving on various committees or as Lady Captain at Clovelly, Rondebosch, King David and Metropolitan where she was a member during her long golfing career.

Furthermore, she served on the WGWP Executive Committee and was elected President in 2001-2002.

Rina was committed, well organised and efficient but always approachable, kind, friendly and generous to all. A dear friend has been lost to the WP golfing community, including the WP Lady Captains Society and the WP Senior Women Golfers Society.

In keeping with her Jewish faith, her funeral was held at Pinelands Cemetery on Sunday, 15 January.
