Bellville’s Gerlou Roux  73-71 (144) picked up his eighth win in total on the Premier Amateur Tour with a win at the Clovelly Open held on Sunday.

Roux came back from four shots adrift the morning round leader, Hayden Garcia, to win by two shots from Garcia 69-77 – 146, and Riaan Lewis 74-72 – 146.

KD Mowbray’s Christopher Gutuza was T3 with scores 74-73 (147).

Meyer Pauw (Stellenbosch) showed a never-give-up attitude. After a disastrous opening round of 91 – he set about his second round, turning in 31 only to eagle the par 5, 10th, and then promptly dropped 5 shots on the bushy par 4 , 13th and finally signed for a 2-under-par 70.
