SA Girls Championships – Orkney
Western Province Golf through their association with the Department of Culture and Sport are proud to sponsor the group of 18 Junior Squad girls playing in the Nomads WGSA Girls Championships 2017 in Orkney this week .
This trip is part of Western Province Golf’s commitment to furthering golf amongst young girls. Any girl who has a handicap of 32 or less, and meets the selection criteria to participate is able to travel to Orkney.
Our representation in all Divisions:
- A Division- Kaylah Williams (Vice Captain), Aaliyah Abrahams, Jordan Rothman, Maxine Smet (Captain)
- B Division- Ashleigh Seboa, Cameron Seboa, Bobbi Brown, Christan Booysen, Isabella Crafford, Nika Bossr, Tyla Humby
- C Division- Kristen Jacobsen, Jordan Pillay, Jemma Louw, Danielle Foster, Elzet Mostert, Xavier Arries
- D Division- Fouziah Schloss
The players will experience typical Highveld winter weather with cold, cold mornings, probably with frost, and a hard ground which will make the ball run – conditions the Cape Town players are not used.
The 2017 Nomads SA Girls Championship drew a field of 104 entries that includes 21 juniors who start their launch their 36-hole battle for glory in the C- and D-Divisions. The C-Division is for the 19-25 handicapped juniors and the D-Division for players with 26 to 32 handicaps.
