The prestigious Royal Cape Golf Club provided the perfect backdrop for the 2025 WP Women’s Mid-Amateur & Senior Championship. With Cape Town delivering ideal golfing weather, the stage was set for two thrilling rounds of golf over 36 holes.

Sandra Winter of George Golf Club emerged as the standout performer of the event. After setting the pace with a first-round 77, she held the clubhouse lead. Despite a strong second-round charge from Vicki Traut, who posted a commendable 75, Winter maintained her composure and momentum. Her second-round score of 74 (+2) secured her a well-deserved double victory, claiming both the Mid-Amateur and Senior titles.

In the Silver Division, Metropolitan’s Ingrid de Beer showcased her skill and determination, edging out Geanne Gelderblom of Erinvale to win the Mid-Amateur title.

In the Senior Section, Durbanville’s Leonie Swart captured victory by a 3-shot margin over Sonya Behrens of Atlantic Beach.

The Bronze Division saw consistent performances throughout. Debbie Tasker from Milnerton claimed the Mid-Amateur title with an impressive 68 stableford points, winning by 4 points.

Traci Reimer triumphed in the Senior Bronze Division, finishing 6 points ahead of Debbie Kim from Somerset West to take the title.
