SHAUN LE ROUX WINS THE STEENBERG OPEN!

The 2025 Steenberg Open unfolded under beautiful, overcast skies with favourable scoring conditions.
In Round 1, Shaun Le Roux (Westlake) and Evan Mararis (Clovelly) set the pace with impressive 66s (-6 each), sharing the early lead. Brayton Meyer (George) and Josh Daniels (Somerset West) followed closely with 71s (-1 each).
In Round 2, competition intensified with a slight breeze. Brayton Meyer carded a solid 70 (-2) to finish on 3 under par total, while Josh Daniels consistently shot 71 (-1) to end on 2 under par. Evan Marais faced a tougher afternoon but managed to stay on 5 under par total, taking the clubhouse lead.
Shaun Le Roux showcased exceptional composure and talent, carding another under-par round of 71 (-1) to claim the championship with a total of 7 under par, winning by 2 strokes.
Women’s Division:
Jordan Rothman (Durbanville) Won the women’s division, posting scores of 74 and 74 to claim the title with a 4-shot margin. Kaitlyn Van Der Vyver (Royal Cape) secured second place with scores of 77 and 75, while Zayaan Hendricks (AB Links) took third place with scores of 75 and 80.
