Silver & Bronze Cup 2023
Located in an idyllic setting with a breathtaking view of Table Mountain, the golf course is the perfect place for golf enthusiasts.
The course was more challenging than usual, but despite the increased challenge, the players still managed to score well on it.
Among this field of competitors were three talented juniors who also sought to lift one of the Trophies.
In the aftermath of a hot day at the course, the ladies enjoyed the cool down environment in the upstairs facilities at Parow Golf Club for much-needed refreshments and pizzas prior to the awards presentation.
All prizes were shared among Westlake, Clovelly, King David Mowbray, Durbanville, and Parow Golf Club.
Westlake Golf Club took home seven prizes, while Parow and King David Mowbray were close behind with three each.
Overall, Winners:
This year’s Silver Cup was won by Dawn Abel (Parow), with a nett score of 68.
Jane Hall (Covelly) won the Bronze Cup with a nett score of 70 to claim the honours.
Runner-up positions:
Just one shot behind the winner, Gale Thane (Westlake) earned the Silver Cup runner up award with a nett score of 69.
The Bronze Cup runner up was Jane Wallaston (Westlake) with a nett score of 75 counted in.
Third place positions:
Inge De Beer (Durbanville) came in third place with a nett 70 score, narrowly missing out on the Silver Cup by only two shots.
Jaden Visagie (King David Mowbray), followed closely in fourth place with a net score of 72. Congratulations to both juniors!
With a nett score of 75 counted out, Gill Baxter (Westlake) placed third in the Bronze Cup.
