Premier Amateur Tour – Somerset West Open

Bellville’s Sam Simpson held off the field to win by two shots 67 & 68 (135) from Strand’s Francois Cilliers and successfully defend his title at the Somerset West Open on Sunday.  The weather played its part this year – in stark contrast to 2018 where it wrecked the field.  Simpson’s 2018 winning score was 8-over-par.
