DURBANVILLE – Sunday 22 July 2018 – After a morning round of four-over-par, Vanessa Smith managed to hold onto her lead to win the WP Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship held at Durbanville Golf Club. Even with two double-bogeys she held off Stellenbosch’s Nina Grey charge to win by one shot.  Smith posted rounds of 76-82, total 158.

Grey bounced back after her first round 82 to card a five-over-par 77, but fell one shot short of Smith and had to settle for the runner-up spot.
