The 4th Senior Series event was held at Rondebosch Golf Club in dreary weather conditions with forty golfers embarking on a mission to overcome the weather elements thrown their way.

Two players accepted the challenge, with one shot separating them at the end.

Hennie Walters (Bellville) was not deterred by the conditions and opened his campaign with a routine birdie on the first hole. He recorded three further birdies on holes 3, 6 and 13 to gain an advantage over Giles Buchanan (Milnerton), his closest competitor. Walters achieved a level par round (72) well deserving of the victory despite the adverse conditions.

Buchanan (Milnerton) performed steadily without deviation. He finished in second place with a score of 73, having recorded three birdies (holes 3, 5, 8), and four bogeys (holes 4, 6, 12, 16) in his round.

Nigel Pillay placed third after a stellar performance posting a round of 77 (count-in).

Brian Felix (Atlantis), the outstanding performer of the Net Division, accumulated 37 points, winning by 15 points.

A round of 77 by Brian Mampies was sufficient for victory in the Super Senior division.
