Gilly Tebbutt and Sonja Bland were outright winners at the Womens Mid-Amateur & Senior championships respectively, held recently at Westlake Golf Club.

Rondebosch’s Tebbutt carded rounds of 77-72 (149) to win the Mid-Amateur championship by two shots from Milnerton’s Vanessa Smith 75-76 (151), a previous winner of this event.

The Silver division was won by Erica Lefson 89/97, one ahead of Steenberg’s Jennifer Houston 89/88, and two ahead of Di Brooks 92/86.

Tarryn Borsutsky won the Bronze stableford division with 63 points.

In the Seniors Championship, Sonja Bland with scores of 76-78 (154) finished ahead of Rondebosch’s Norma Harrod.

Steenberg’s Annette Smith topped the podium in the Silver Division; clubmate Gwen Ortlepp was second, and Rondebosch’s Kate Brown completed the trio.

The Bronze section was won by Westlake’s Gill Baxter with 70 points from Metropolitan’s Debbie Gibb, and Tinya Alhadeff taking third spot.

Steenberg’s Sarah Rae took top spot in the Copper division with 72 points.
