The first Senior Series tournament of the 2024 season was held at Durbanville Golf Club. Players were welcomed by a slight breeze and overcast conditions. Those who kept the ball on short grass, however, had a greater chance of scoring.

The 2024/25 season began with 52 players in fine form.

Leaderboards were continuously changing as conditions changed throughout the afternoon. There was fierce competition among notables such as Greg Woodbridge (Atlantic Beach), Derek Oelofse (Durbanville) and Giles Buchanan (Milnerton).

Greg Woodbridge finished with a level par 72 to win by two shots over Giles Buchanan. Herman Rheeder (Atlantic Beach) and Andre Louw (Vredenburg) both signed for 75.

Durbanville local Derek Oelofse won the net competition with a score of 71. Henry Trevena (Royal Cape) and Tony Louw (Atlantic Beach) took first and second place respectively. Simon Gurr (Westlake) won the Stableford Division with 39 points to cap the evening’s proceedings.
