The 2025 Friendship Cup, hosted by Western Province Golf at Rondebosch Golf Club, was a showcase of camaraderie, skill, and friendly competition. The tournament, which is held annually between the top 6 caddies from Western Province and Boland.

The morning foursome’s session got underway under breezy conditions. The 2nd pairing from Western Province secured a dominant win, while the third pairing also emerged victorious, giving Western Province a strong 2.5-0.5 lead. This set the tone for a competitive day of golf.

After a well-deserved lunch break, players took to the course for the singles match play session, with six points up for grabs. Western Province and Boland battled it out, but in the end, Western Province’s skill and determination paid off, claiming 5 of the 6 available points. This performance secured a convincing victory for Western Province, with a final score of 7.5-1.5 against Boland.
