Western Province’s Men’s Premier Inter-Provincial (IPT) team, led by captain Andrew Georgiou (Erinvale) and managed by Werner Theart (Bellville), once again proved their class with a powerful title defense to emerge as 2025 SA Men’s Premier IPT champions.

With the defending champions carrying a target on their backs from the very start, the week was always going to be a test of composure, resilience, and teamwork. After a tough opening-day loss to hosts Gauteng North, the road ahead looked steep. But instead of faltering, the team regrouped, re-focused, and fought back with true WP grit.

Displaying immense determination throughout the tournament, the side clawed their way back into contention—and when it came down to the final day, it was all to play for. In an electrifying finish, WP clinched the trophy by the narrowest of margins, edging Central Gauteng by just one section point to seal back-to-back victories!

Dan Copeman (Westlake) delivered consistently exceptional golf all week, earning him the title of Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the A-Section—a testament to his composure, skill, and key contributions in crunch moments.
